Our recommendation is to fly to Florence and rent a car. There are limited direct flights from the US. The best airport would be Florence Airport, Peretola (FLR).

Distance from the venue: 80km / 1hr 10min by car.

The Florence Airport runs a free shuttle to the rental car station. 

There are a variety of familiar car rental companies including: Avis, Budget, Hertz, and Enterprise, etc

We've had great experiences renting from Sixt - employees speak great English and have recommendations for stops for food/drink along the way!

No e-visas etc are required for Italy, but please check your passport expiration date!

Your passport must be valid for at least six months beyond the period of stay.

Money: Italy's currency is the Euro (EUR). You can pick up Euros from your home bank before you depart, otherwise ATMs are available in Italy. Credit cards are accepted in most places. Check with your bank about foreign transaction fees for your ATM card and credit cards.
Do not bring USD to exchange in Italy.

Cell Phones: Contact your wireless carrier for international data and messaging plans. WiFi is widely available in the hotel.

Electronics: USA to EU plug converters are available in the USA for purchase. You will need to purchase a type C adapter.

Anything that heats up like a curling iron or hair dryer will also require a power convertor in addition to the power adapter. This is not available on site, but you can bring one with you. Hair dryers and irons will be available on site at the hotel.

Irons will be available by request at the hotel.

Luggage: We recommend you carry-on your wedding day attire. While we hope this doesn't happen, many travelers experience lost or delayed luggage. We also highly recommend using AirTags!
